A native of small-town New Bern, North Carolina, Sarah Fentress is a 18-year-old singer/songwriter who has always carried a special place in her heart for music. She grew up holding mini-concerts for her parents in the bonus room, and singing karaoke to iconic songs of the 2000s. Her natural love for music only flourished as she aged. With every year she gained, her experiences expanded. These experiences became inspiration for her craft—something that became natural to translate into song. Songwriting quickly grew into her passion. It became a way for her to express the emotions she felt as life ebbed and flowed, and as she matured, so did her writing.
She set a goal for herself at age 17: to release an original album in 2021. This prompted her to spend the summer of 2021 in the studio, listening to her songs come to life. She recorded her first album at Gold City House of Music in Goldsboro, NC alongside her producer, Tyler Davis. After months of hard work, her debut album is finally set to release on November 30, 2021.
In the midst of releasing music and writing songs, Sarah is also a first-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying Journalism. While she is not certain which career path life will lead her to, she is certain that it will be a creative one.
